On our DC Rug Tour we were blessed by Mike and Linda Zimmerman who showed us The Evacuator - Pitless Rug Washing Table. Mike a 30 year veteran in the cleaning field developed the Evacuator as a tool for the beginner and expert rug washer alike,
For anyone with a Truck Mount system this allows them to have the benefit of a full scale rug salon without the cost of expensive pits, leases, and space requirements. For the expert this system allows them to flush specific areas without spreading the contamination through the whole rug. Because the water goes in the top and is drawn out through the foundation the master cleaner can handle the problem bleeder in a way he never could in a wash pit or on a wash floor.
In addition to allowing pitless rug washing the Evacuator also helps to dry the rug to decrease drying time no matter whether you use air drying, a centrifuge or heat. My guess was that the Evacuator was going to appeal most to the Carpet Cleaner making the transition to Rug Washer but I was surprised at the interest from the established Master Rug Washers. Since the table was shown in conjunction with the ICR Biological Contamination Specialist training and Certification test the participants could see the obvious benefits of the Evacuator Table with severely contaminated rugs.
I think the Zimmerman’s have a real winner in The Evacuator - Pitless Rug Washing Table.
